Milton Cricket Club takes the safety and well-being of all its members, particularly young players, extremely seriously. The club is fully committed to the England and Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) Safe Hands Policy, ensuring cricket is played in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility across the club. Players, coaches, volunteers, parents and supporters all play an important role in creating a positive environment where everyone feels safe, respected and able to enjoy the game. The ECB’s Safe Hands initiative focuses on promoting well-being, preventing harm, and ensuring that any concerns are reported and addressed promptly.
We are committed to:
- Providing a safe, friendly and inclusive environment for all participants
- Ensuring appropriate safeguarding procedures and policies are in place
- Encouraging a culture where concerns can be raised and taken seriously
- Supporting and listening to young players and their families
Our Club Welfare Officer, Adam Hallworth, is the first point of contact for any safeguarding concerns and can be contacted via email.
As part of our ongoing commitment to the safety and well-being of our junior players, all under-18s are required to arrive at matches wearing their cricket whites.
Safeguarding is at the heart of cricket, and Milton Cricket Club is dedicated to upholding the highest standards to ensure that everyone can enjoy the game in a safe and supportive environment.
